Best House Mom!

I thought about this while reading the in-house cooks thread. Who would you pick as your sorority's best house mom (if youve had more then one)? Or why is your house mom the best? Fraternities can post also b/c i know many at UM had housemom's (or dad).

ALl I have to say

Is my house mom is not cool and I don't like her. She is 24 and very dictator like. She told us not to call her house mom bc she is not old enough to be our mom. She is the house director. I amthe house manager
Do you think it is ridiculous to make a computer spreadsheet of inventory and once a week count every cleaning supply and put that on the spreasheet when you have 14 credits, a volunteer position and work 18 hours a week? I also am public relations chair. I looked in the 3 pages of house manager responsibilities and no where does it say I need to do this, but she told me I have to even though housing corp said it was ridiculous bc I am too busy with school. Kim- house director said they don't live in the house so they have no say.

Lana,
You are the House Manager, and were either elected by your chapter or appointed that by exec board. You are a member of your sorority. Therefore, you outrank her. She is there to help YOU, not the other way around. Don't let her push you around.

I really like our house mum..she's older I guess you could say, more of a Grandmotherly figure than a 24 yr-old dictator like AlphaSigLana's (eek!)....she's retiring after this year though, so i'm not sure who will fill her spot. She's pretty lax, the only thing is if you fall asleep down in the formal living room studying she comes and wakes you up bright and early! A.S.Lana..do you find that it's hard to live with someone so close to your age, who is supposed to be "in charge" of you? I'd feel like they were just another sister or something...dunno..does she ever try and go out partying with you guys?

No she doesn't go party with us, but she does try to set up our sisters with her guy friends. (SHe is an ASA alumnae who graduated in 1998). FOr the longest time I would always think there was a man in the house bc she has a deep voice.
