need advice about pledging process
I've recently pledge a sorority at my school, it seems the closer I get to crossing the harder it gets. I'm thinking about dropping if anyone can give me advice believe me it's welcome

This is something that my roommate just dealt with, because she just depinned from her sorority. I think that you really need to figure out what your priorities are. In some respects my roommate felt that was holding her chapter back, because she was so disinterested with the whole sorority thing. Her decision to drop out was better for her, because now she is free to spend her time doing things that she wants to do. Find someone that you can talk to about it. It may even be someone outside of your chapter. One thing that I think that you need to prepare yourself for is how people will react if you depledge. I personally got a lot of flak from people about my roommate, because they blamed me for her disinterest. This varies with different chapters. You should not let this affect your decision too much though.
The most important thing is that you are happy, and if your sorority does not do that for you then maybe it's not right. I hope this helps.

Lyric, don't give up! Anything worth having is worth working for. If you truly want this, don't drop. Don't ever short change yourself.
You started this process because you wanted to be a part of this organization. Unless that has changed during your process, stick with it. Believe me, after all is said and done, you will reap the rewards. You will appreciate and cherish your organization that much more. STAY STRONG!

Very tough decision, and the only one who can make that decision is you. Take your time, decide your pros and cons and then decide whats best for you and whats in your heart.I personally say Hang in there, although things make look weiry now, they will look better down the road. I wish u much luck and success

weigh out the pros and cons, and if u guys have parents or bigs then maybe you can talk to them about your feelings...i know every chapter works differently but in ours our parents regularly checked in on us how we wre doing with requirements and generally kept us motivated even when the going got tough. think about the long run effects and will u have time for the organization plus studies, etc next semester?...=) but good luck and stay strong.

My advice would be to get yourself a Kate Spade Sam bag (black) and a Tiffany Bean necklace! Good luck!

Coop Chick, being a person of somewhat dry humor myself, I have learned that there are places for it.....this part of the messageboard is not one of them.
