Yeah, I wondered the same thing. It's the state flagship. I wouldn't think they'd offer Associates.

I'm OBVIOUSLY a silly little Freshman...it shows...haha! So, new question!

I recently decided to go for my associates instead of my bachelors because I'm not honestly sure what I want to do as a career...I know I'm good with kids so I declared Early Childhood Education as my major...which to work at a day care I really wouldn't need more than two years....I also am considering going to school for 1 year to become a medical assistant...but I'm really not sure...

Does anyone know of any good colleges that offer associates in early ed?

Also, most fully accredited preschools will require a four year degree. You could be an assistant teacher with a 2 year, but anything accredited through NAEYC would require 4 years.

It's probably best to have a four year degree in that field. My sister taught preschool with a 2-year degree, but it was at a Catholic school and the pay was NOT good.

It is my understanding that some community colleges offer associates in early childhood which would get you a job in a daycare center, which you could get without the a.a. The pay will be lousy, the hours bad.

Yeah that was pretty much her experience in daycare. She worked with people who had no degrees at all. And they had to be there at 6am!
