Pledging as a junior

I am currently attending Widener University but I will transferring to Rutgers University next year for my junior year. I really want try rushing there but I'm a bit hesitant about it since I'm going to be a junior :/ I never tried rushing before at my current school because I knew I wanted to transfer from here and I was just wondering what the chances are of me getting a bid as a junior? Rutgers, the school I'm transferring to, has recruitment in the fall and transfer students are allowed to rush their first semester on campus. I was just wondering if this would put me at an advantage of being able to get a bid since I would not have to worry competing with Freshman since they are not allowed to pledge until their second semester of college and I will be rushing in the fall. Anyone who has experience with being a part of Greek life's input would be much appreciated!!!

I am not familiar with Rutgers campus. Hopefully someone who is will give you a more definitive answer. That being said, just do it (a la Nike). Your best opportunity will be fall semester, so give it a try. Being truly open to all the chapters on campus will give you the best chance of receiving a bid. Good luck!
