UW-Madison Sorority Rush

Hi!
I’m going to be a freshman at UW-Madison this fall and want to join a sorority. I’ve heard conflicting opinions on how competitive rush is, so I would appreciate any input. I’m not sure if I should be getting recs or not. I don’t care about being in a “popular” sorority, I’d be happy joining any house there.

When in doubt, get a rec for every chapter. They can only help you.

Adding to RushPuppies' statement, when in doubt, prepare for a competitive recruitment. If it is less competitive than contemplated, you are fully prepared and ahead of the game.

Definitely get rec letters for all of the chapters on campus. The new member class size each year has been increasing at UW, so I would say that it is fairly competitive. All of the chapters there are great--good luck!
