You did not drop a sorority

It is called a preference, which is merely an opinion. I really am wondering if this system should be removed. In all these posts there are girls who say they cut a sorority when really what you wrote doesn't matter. I also get mad when girls complain about not getting invited back but yet they "cut" a chapter. If your school has A-K chapters you can only visit A-G the 3rd day and so preferences are made to make sure you aren't scheduled for every chapter. If A likes you regardless of your feelings then you are scheduled. If 4 chapters invite you back it includes ones you didn't like so that you have a full schedule. Even if you don't like them, it's not about what you like. You can only want to join chapters that invite you back. I think it needs to be explained that the chapters don't see your list of rankings and it's actually not your choice where you end up. Do you think you would get any bids if they saw your ranking??? Hello!! I once read that a girl preferenced A but received a bid from B and she was shocked. B liked you and had no knowledge you preferred A. If this was the case everyone of us would be SOL. I think every girl would find a sorority easier if they didn't get caught up with ranking.
