Hey Prdlocal,
First off congrats on your position...its a toughy. I have a question for you because we handle offices of NPC differently at our school, perhaps because we are so small. Here we distrubute Panhellenic offices in rotations. For example, I am the Panhellenic Delegate for my sorority this year. I am currently VP in Pan Council. This is a two year position in that after serving as VP I will rotate up to President. This allows me a years worth of time to understand the office and work under a president. This works out very well. Thus, we hold no elections. Do you go to a bigger school? We rotate according to our founding dates on campus. Let me know how yours works....anything with Panhellenic interests me!

Hey prdlocal!
My little sister is the current Panhellenic President at my school. She served as an officer on Panhellenic before she became President. She followed the former President around to get a feel for the position before she was nominated for it. Then it was time to make her speech. She was herself and told everybody about why she felt like she was the best candidate for that position. She has been involved in campus activities since she was a freshman and I think that helped out her chances too. She also knew a lot of people on campus and had the backing of the old Panhellenic council.
I was the Panhellenic Treasurer back in the day and I can tell you that if you do not act nervous in front of all the girls and be yourself, you're a shoe-in for the position. Don't be nervous, you'll do fine! Good luck!

Thank you so much ladies for all of your advice, I appreciate it all very much! At our campus 5 delegates are voted on in each chapter, and then members from any chapter can run for e-board. I currently hold the philanthropic posistion. To answer all of your questions, our campus is around 12,000, but the greek community is only around 7%. There are three sororities which make up about 250 girls. I am really nervous, because the only two others running are big sis/little sis in another sorority, and are both qualified. But thank you so much for all the help.

Thanks so much! I appreciate your support! But, actually, I had to decline my nomination because I was elected pledge mistress (New Member Educator) within my sorority, which, as we all know, is like pledging all over again as far as being time consuming! However, I am making someone from my sorority run because without a president from my sorority (we are the only local, and there are two other nationals on my campus.) our sorority will get pretty shafted seeing as how we are currently working with this new Panhellenic Council alcohol resolution. So, please cross your fingers for my sister, Rina, and thanks so much for your support
