So on my campus this year for rush four sororities made quota and three didn't. Phi Mu, Sigma Kappa and us did not make quota. Phi Mu got 35 new members this semester, lost four before initiation and then another five afterwards for a grand total of 26 new members out of 40 for quota. We got 12 through rush, then 6 through COB and another 11 for a total of 29 and only lost one before initiation. Sigma Kappa got 12 through rush and then 10 through COB for a total of 22. So, we are doing really well with new members!! Our new member coordinator that just got elected is doing an awesome job getting the girls involved, too, so I think we are going to get about another 20 next semester giving us 49 new members for the year! How awesome is that?
Just thought I would share. And since many of you know my experience with a certain chapter you can see why I may be gloating a little!

That is awesome!! We were in a similar situation, except 3 got over quota and 2 didn't make quota. (Yea, our rush was quite screwed up.)Anyhow, we are working on a COB action plan...what is your chapters secret (besides Great Girls)?? Congrats and keep up the hard work!

We do wonderfully through COB because we are laid back.
Every other month we do something different. One month we will do an informal rush three nights in a row and do a "bid day" that sunday, then the next month we do coke dates and have one night a week as a scheduled COB. We may do a make a sundae night, a movie night, game night, pizza nights, gattiland night, bowling, etc. Usually Wednesdays so the girls know if they are bored on Wednesdays they can come. We have a pledge class of 11 right now and in January we are doing an informal rush where we actually run through the rush skit and everything (it is a great way to practice, too!) and we will have a preference and everything. We usually get 20-22 girls in the spring. So we may actually make it to chapter total!! That would be the first time in years.. oh some more info for you.. our chapter is only 12 girls behind the next larger chapter on my campus,... isn't that great!! So that is our "COB" Secret if you want to call it that. It keeps people from getting bored with one thing. Some of our sisters areRAs and they get girls on their floor and in their hall.. we also get friends of girls and then of course we always try to promote ourselves positively! We have two people on panhellenic this year!! YEAH! And we are doing great! I am so proud of my chapter.

Congrats, Sarah! We will be in Bowling Green for Christmas but I guess y'all will be at home, lol.
