Rushing another fraternity after being dropped from another?

I go to a big school and have been interested in greek life for a long time anyhow i was not looking for letters but i was open to all houses. Sadly i missed the rush time they had which left me disappointed so most of the houses where closed for fall so not wanting to wait till the smaller recruitment in December and not wanting to have wait until next fall which would be a year. I decided to check out the fraternities that were open (there were only a few) i checked out 2 of them and got a bid from 1 they seemed really cool and despite them not having a great reputation on campus i decided to sign with them because a few members made me feel really welcome and i knew another one of the pledges. Long story short not to long in the house i come to realize i do not really like it and our reputation on campus is rather bad i was thinking of dropping as was my friend because he was upset with how the members were being lets say jerks to all the pledges. I did not care so much about how the members were acting towards us as much as i cared about how they behaved towards other sororities and how they did not care about their reputation it seemed.

So basically at a party one night i decided to not suck the d#ck of another member basically. All the other pledges were grovelling around trying so hard to be accepted it just seemed disgusting to me. Anyhow this led to me pissing off that member and he and his few buddies blacked me. After i got blacked a few of the members i was cool with came up to me and told me they were so sorry they defended me but that there was enough votes to black me so there was nothing they could do.

I dont care that i got blacked so much because it was not for me at all. And there are a lot of other great fraternities on campus id like to look at. A friend of mine in a fraternity said they do not care if you got blacked from another because they all judge in their own ways. I got blacked for not acting like a slave basically and


Anyhow i am just asking this seeing what people from other schools think. My school is rather large with over 23 fraternities and the one i got dropped from is ranked rather low on greekrank lol. While they threw good parties and i miss my pledge brothers i cant say i miss the members or the reputation they have. I will rush again next Fall in which rush process starts earlier though. Excited because there are so many other fraternities to chose from.
