Rushing And Transferring...?
Hi y'all! So I had been planning on going through recruitment next fall, when I will be a sophomore. However, I also wanted to transfer schools my junior year. Should I even bother to rush and make all these amazing new friends when I plan on leaving at the end of the year? Greek life is something I've dreamed of my whole life, and I can't imagine not jumping in as soon as I can, but my practical side keeps telling me it's silly to join only to leave at the end of the year.
Another concern is that I go to a school with only 4 national chapters. Some of my top choice transfer schools have those sororities, but some don't offer all or any of them. My current university isn't considered a competitive campus, but many of my transfer schools are and I'm afraid a junior wouldn't have a chance during recruitment... Is it better to chance it as a junior, or to rush next year and limit my choices in transfer schools by where there are chapters of my sorority?
