Hair for Recruitment?!

Okay, so I cut my hair in January from its long state, which I had gotten good at curling and styling, to a bob which is now growing out and is down to my shoulders. It has virtually no layering in it and is super thick. Also, it's difficult to curl. And my school's sorority recruitment is next week!! I have an appt. tomorrow, so before I talk to the stylist....What are some styles I can wear throughout the week that will accommodate my thick hair and won't fall out easily? What are some things I can do to it to stand out without the long, blonde hair that half the campus seems to have? haha. Pics or something would help!! Thanks

As much as I would love to comment, I have no idea. I think your stylist will be the best expert here. My first thought is a cute headband to keep your hair back but that's all I got!

Good luck!

Can you french braid? I usually do the front side of my hair to keep it out of my face. Then just run a straightener through the rest of it to keep it under control. Also, if your hair is like mine, HAIRSPRAY. Spray it lightly and brush it through the loose part to keep it from getting frizzy. Kind of like this: http://www.hairstylesvane.com/wp-con...oho-braids.jpg

You can try pinning back the front, to keep it out of your face, sort of like this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aqidpZynq5...1600/photo.JPG
Or this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BXgxJTf97M...irstyles-2.jpg

You can try a half-up-half-down sort of ponytail too, like this: http://cdn.blogs.sheknows.com/celebs...e-748x1024.jpg

For pref, a nice sock bun might be pretty. You can try this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5vG1Q5GUzz...torial%201.jpg (There's a thousand tutorials out there; it's pretty easy.)

Hope that helps!

Headbands, barrettes, and pony tail holders are a girl's best friend in the heat during recruitment. Ditto to whoever recommended braids or a bun.

Don't try to get too intricate. Recruitment tends to be a sweaty mess in August, so just keep it simple.

Try the Spin Pin. Goody and Conair both make them. Any drugstore should have at least one, if not both brands. They actually hold my "mop" up for the majority of the day and mine is way past my shoulders!! There are lots of cute styles you can do with them.

Even those these seem like a great product, they scare me! I'm not sure how I would EVER get them into or out of my naturally curly, long hair!

You just spin them in clockwise, and to spin them back out, go counterclockwise.
