wimpy handshakes

Why don't some guys have any
grip in their handshakes? Sometimes I
have to shake someone's hand, I always
end up gripping a cold,limp hand. To be
honest, it feels kind of wimp.

That's just a bad business practice, corporate people hate guys with wimp handshaks. But with a girl a guy just might not want to squeeze too hard. The rule of etiqutte is don't squeeze a girls hand, only watch how firm she is shaking, but most guys are timid with that.

Or, worse they shake my fingers instead.

agreed with PKT, we don't want to crush the hand. sure the "limp fish" handshake is bad, but so is the CRUSHING VICEGRIP SHAKE, which sets off an equally bad precedent. most guys figure it out that balance, but sometimes, with an especially small woman, I'll do less of a grip just to make sure.

they should always shake the hand though, unless they're trying to be classy and take your hand, not shake it, but that usually involves a kiss on the palm or something like that.

I try to teach good handshaking techniques in our pledge classes. I hate for any of our young guys to shake hands like wimps. But I dont grip a ladies hand very tightly at all, course I always thought you werent supposed to use much pressure.

Further details :
I know that guys have to avoid the extremes : "bone-crushing" shakes and "wimpy fingertip" shakes.
i'm not thinking "Well, usually you have to pick between guys with great bodies and wimpy guys, the funny guys and the wimpy guys".
i'm not thinking "yeah, they're FVCKING WIMPY!"
i'm not thinking that I don't like "body hair, Wimpy guys, Bad teeth
Flat butts!"
i'm not thinking "I don't sympathize for wack hoes and wimpy guys" (Dr. Dre "Big Ego").

That happened to me once, I shook some girls hand and she just GRIPPED me! I was trying to be 'gentle" and she crushed my fuckin hand! So she says, You shake hands like a girl." and I was like, "well Im not going to crush your hand..*cough*bitch*cough*"

To me, anyone that tries to break your hand is trying to have power trip. They are trying to make up for something by trying to intimidate you with how hard they can grip your hand.

Handshake lessons should be a part of all fraternity training...wouldn't you hate it if someone was like, "All ABCs have weak handshakes?". Maybe not...

Maybe this is just me personally, but I HATE it when guys don't shake my hand normally. I don't just give them my fingers, I want to shake with my whole hand. I've had many a guy tell me that I have a strong handshake. And I hate it when girls go to shake my hand and offer me their finger tips, like their afraid to really shake my hand.
