We have a pretty massive thing headed for Oklahoma. After last Spring, when for the second time in 3 years, we received ~10" of rain in an hour and had the house flood, we installed a pretty massive drainage system in the back yard. Two 6" pipes worth of capacity and the yard has been regraded. I'm ready for this isht.

We are expecting heavy rains and storms here in Tennessee tonight.
I also saw online that there are already heavy snows striking the Midwest this year. I theorize this might be a rough winter.

I moved back to the Midwest, so you can put that in the bank.

We've been checking in with our chapters in IN and IL. All members are accounted for and no damage to any of our houses. Many were under tornado warnings today- Bloomington IL, Bloomington, IN, Champaign, IL, Muncie, IN, West Lafayette, IN... now for OH and MI coming up. It's getting stormy here.

If anyone is interested in helping, Tara is a Phi Mu from U of I, class of 2001. She and her husband have two small children. The fundraiser is being run by Eleni, who is also a chapter sister of mine.

I'm very glad this thread is still being used for storm alerts and for the safety of our Greek brothers and sisters.
A few counties in Tennessee are under watches. None in my area yet.
Weather Channel twitter feed is a blessing for these types of days.

Seems Central Ohio didn't get hit as bad as perhaps we expected. Still windy in my area but the rains have moved through. Son reported that tornado sirens were going off earlier in the OSU area but says nothing happened.
