Arrow Fraternity Row at SDSU

What's up GC world?
DeltaSigStan and I are like the only 2 SDSU guys on this board, and both our houses have aquired brand new chapter houses in the Fraternity Row. I just wanted to share with all of you how different this place is...and how much fun!
There are 8 chapter houses that outline a 4 story apartment complex. The place looks huge. Each Fraternity has their own section of the apartments directly behind their chapter house. Its really cool because I look out my window and all I see is 4 floors of my bro's.
The only strange thing is I walk out my apartment door and right next to it is another apartment of my bro's, but on the other side of the door there is another Fraternities apartments, and on the other side of the elevator there is 2 other Fraternities apartments. Its like living in the house, but also living in 3 other Fraternities houses at the same time. So far my house has had great relations with the 3 other houses we are close to, and we hope it stays that way.
I have been here since Tuesday, and today is Monday. All I can say is that this place has been a non stop party since we moved in.
Last night a fire occurred in the wing that opened yesterday for move in. I heard that it was in one of ZBT's apartments, but everything is ok. The only thing that sucks is that if a smoke decter goes off in one apartment, or chapter house, the whole place goes off. last night every Fraternity, and their guest, had to evacuate at around 2:00 am.
So that's what's new with SDSU greek life. If any of you are in SD you should at least drive by the new row...it looks like nothing you have ever seen before.

My best friend is going to San Deigo State and she called me yesterday to tell me that she's having quite a lovely time she's having with the fraternities down there... she sure does appreciate your hospitality!

As for fraternity rows, UCR is working on building one. Our former chancellor was really, really against GLOs... but luckily, our new chancellor is all for them! So wish us luck (and wish me luck getting into a GLO!)

Congratulations on your new fraternity row! Have lots of good, clean fun!

XOXO,
Annie.

curb appeal.

Do you have any pics?

Its kind of tough to get to really appreciate the houses by a floor plan.

As much as I'd like to say I love it here (Which I do), I can't help but point out the flaws here. NONE of the actual chapter houses are complete. The construction guys left all their stuff in our courtyards, and they haven't put blinds in so we're all using sheets to cover our windows. It kinda looks like a NYCapartment building right now. But I know that when it's all ready it'll be good.

The houses won't be ready till Oct 1, so all we get to do for rush is point to our house and say "yeah, that's our house". But The four pillar palace that Delta Sig has looks good so far!

Josh, appaerently someone on the fourth floor put aluminum foil in their microwave and smoked out their entire apartment. I was completely out of it and I ignored the smoke alarm that went on for what seemed like hours and went to bed (well, actually, my kitchen floor).
