Desparate Need of Help/Advice!

It's ben a while since I've posted, but I'm having a personal crisis; any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I recently lost my primary source of funding for school. Unless I can come up with an alternative source before January, I may be forced to leave school. I've successfully made it this far (Junior year w/ good grades). I don't want to have to quit on a technicality. Does anone know a good source for emergency loans/grants/scholarships?

If possible please mail me at firestarter_329@hotmail.com

Hmmm...try going to your school's financial aid office and see if you can take out a loan. I was in a similar situation and luckily I was able to take a out a loan and continue school.

P.S. if you are going through a difficult time in your life that is affecting your schoolwork (getting bad grades), you may try to speak to your college's advisor and apply for a petition. You can try to petition that current semester by getting them to withdraw your courses due to your financial and current situation (this will buy you some time to figure out where to get money and the bad grades will not be added to your transcript).

If you are struggling financially only, go to your financial aid office and ask to speak to someone one-on-one to explain to them your situation and that you desperately need a loan or some form of aid to help you continue school.

Hope this helps...good luck.

If you have already exhausted federal/public programs, (FAFSA) you may want to try your private bank. For example, Bank of America has a pretty comprehensive site for determining how to go about the loan process.

You also may see if your financial aid office offers emergency loans. At my school, you could take out an emergency loan and pay like 25% of your tuition now...and then its equally spread out over the next 3 or 4 months.

Thanks to all that replied, I think everything is going to be OK, I don't know for sure yet, but a couple of things are in the works.

Thanks again and God Bless.
