Official Alpha Phi jewel?
Hello ladies,
I was always under the impression (both before and after initiation) that our fraternity didn't have an official jewel or precious stone, but I've read in some materials about our history that soon after the founding of Alpha Phi, the ruby was chosen as the official jewel. While rubies would be an obvious choice, does anyone know if this is true and why it's not more widely known/publicized? Were rubies the jewel of choice when our official colors used to be blue and gold? Also, if this is sensitive information, I had no idea, so please let me know ASAP so I can remove it.
