I am a second semester freshman at a small, private college. Even though I was pretty interested in sorority life, I didn't go through recruitment week because I am strongly considering transferring after this year (I love my school, I just can't really handle being away from home. I also can't exactly afford (money wise) to stay at a school where I'm soo homesick. So I'd be transferring home to a MUCH cheaper school). But anyway, one of the sororities on campus has continuos opening bidding starting tomorrow night and I think I might try it out! I know a few of the sisters and they're all very nice! It's a local sorority, so my schools chapter is the only chapter.
...I still feel kind of bad about trying it out since I might not be here after this year. I'm afraid that I'll get really close to the sisters and not want to transfer, but still have to because of money. And I don't want people resenting me for going through the whole process and leaving. Someone told me to "just try it! you'll be a sister for life no matter where you are!"
Does anyone have any advice/opinions on this?
Thanks!
