having a badge repaired

My ebay rescue's clasp is on its way out (its from 1942!!) It isnt an HJ badge so they probably wont fix it, but any suggestions on how I could go about getting that done? I suspect it needs to be replaced

What type of clasp is it? e.g. knuckle clasp/whale tail, or something else?

Is it a Burr Patt or Balfour badge? Mark on the reverse would tell you.

HJ Greek may well be able to assist you. Call them. Here's some information about HJ Greek that is helpful:

And you'd be surprised what simple adjustments can be made to a badge clasp to render it workable (spoken from personal experience).

YES! Do what AzTheta suggests and contact HJ Greek anyway. As my mom always says, they can't say yes if you don't ask, and the worst they can do is say no.

If the worst happens and they do say no, check with a local jeweler. I don't mean Kay or Jared or one of those national chain jewelry stores; I mean the little guy in the hole-in-the-wall shop who does all the repair work for slightly larger local jewelers. They'll give you the best work for what will probably be the lowest price.

I had my badge adjusted by our local jeweler, who has a very high reputation. The work was great, and it wasn't that expensive to have fixed.
