Okay, so what is your take on going out with someone you meet at a bar. I am sooooooooo sketched out by any guy I meet at a bar, but I met someone Saturday night that seemed really cool and he called me last night, which is always a good sign. Anyone meet the signifigant other in a bar? Or have a really bad story for me? Or am I just a paranoid freak?
I think, judging by what you told me, he is probably a really nice guy. Go out with him, but meet him wherever you guys decide on. That way if you feel like you need to make a quick getaway you can. Also, if you're still sketchy make sure it's a really public place.

One of my cousins met her husband in a bar too. I can see your reasons for hesitation... meat market, guys there only interested in one thing, the alcohol and beer googles factor... and so on and so on. The potential for bad circumstances is definitely there. It sounds like you've already sidesteped that landmine though. If you met a cute boy, had a nice conversation, exchanged phone numbers and he's going to take you on a real date then it sounds good. Maybe it won't end up mattering where you met him at all.
Hey wait , wait, wait! I didn't go home with this guy!!! I just gave him my number!! I don't go home with random guys I meet in bars. So, there was no rolling over to ANYONE!! Just wanted to clear that up!
Also, if you're still sketchy make sure it's a really public place.
