2010 Election -- Political Ads

Seems like we need a place to post the better, scarier, slicker, dumber and especially most entertaining ads we see as primaries and then November approach.

I'll start with this one from Alabama. It sets the standard high. Very high.

Dale Peterson for Alabama Agriculture Commissioner: We are Better than That!

That'd win almost any race in my state.

LOL. You know, if you look at the other videos at the right side, the first video you'll see is the same ad, but titled "Oklahoma needs a Dale Peterson!"

I like "Who on earth would support such a dummy? And why?"

I guarantee you -- I'll have a few videos one-upping this guy by the time everything's said and done.

What I look forward to: Orly Taitz actually making a TV ad for her CA Secretary of State run.

Favorite of the recent past:

Representative race that made me go WTF in 2008. I couldn't vote for either so I didn't get to vote against Callahan just for making the ad.

I've met her, she came to Idaho to confront Justice Stevens when he spoke on campus. I couldn't help it, I had to engage, and it was worth it.

I don't have tv, but we have some awesome signs that run down the road and become complete sentences with each successive home made sign. I should take pictures.

If anyone had any questions about how Arlen Specter lost his election bid, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NebmB_aAmCE and the ten like it. I'm hardly a Sestak fan, but this commercial was very in your face!

This one cracks me up. It first aired during the Super Bowl. Rick Snyder, Republican candidate for Governor in Michigan.

Love this one! BTW, my fiance, another nerd from Michigan, would probably agree with Rick Snyder.

The Linda McMahon ads can be a bit funny, especially when you remember that they're coming from one of the leaders of the WWF (or WWE or whatever they're being called now).

Of course the hilarity fades when you get two mailings per week, every week.

I like to think of the Specter candidacy as karma - you change your party, make it out to be some sort of ideological awakening, completely change your voting record overnight, and then essentially admit you did it so you'd have a better chance at the seat. It's just funnier when you end up getting knocked out in the primary.
