P90x anyone!?

hey everybody!
I am going to start my first 90 days of intense workout today! I was wondering if anyone could share their experience if you have tried and/or finished your first round: what are you advices, comments or happy thoughts!

I did it to cut up. Believe me it is intense, but the results are good.

Advice, plenty of water and Pause when you are a beginner.

Trust you will eventually work your way up.

Most of my chapter did it. It looked like it paid off. A lot of them said don't force yourself to keep up. Just do as much as you can and eventually you will be able to keep up!

I actually did my first day yesterday - I was definitely not able to do the entire session without stopping, but hopefully by the end it will be worth it!

Day 2 wasn't so bad, but I'm starting to feel the burn today! Day 3 was terrible (I have no arm strength at all), but I managed to get through it. Phew...

^ haha, same here! I have checklists printed, and it gives me the greatest satisfaction to check off my workout for the day and wake up in the morning with slightly sore muscles

I didn't know what P90x was until one of my high school did it, he looked so much healthier like a good 50lbs lighter and muscular. The YouTube videos are amazing and so inspiring! I totally loved Kenpo tho I realized that I was supposed to do the back and leg workout today ooops! I'm doing the classic in the evening before going to bed... I have been sleeping like a baby for the past 5days lol :-D

I'm also doing P90X classic version. It's a real kick in the pants, isn't it? Definitely not for beginners! Like BluePhire and pshsx1 said, just do as much as you can and do less reps or stop if you have to do so. Or, you can do a workout every other day instead of every day.

I first tried to start P90X back around Feb/Mar or so and really struggled the first few days. Then, I had to stop when I went to firefighter academy. I got my behind handed to me on a silver platter at academy; but, I came out of it more fit. Now that I've just started P90X again, I am doing so much better at it because my fitness level was higher going in. That's why I recommend complete beginners to try other ways of getting fit first or just going really easy on yourself.

That's me in the photo above. It's a "before" photo. It's not brilliant, but probably not too bad for a beginner, a 33 year old lady who sits at a desk 40 hrs/week!

Good luck to everyone!

.....Kelly

^ that's your "before" photo?! You look amazing already!

Kenpo yesterday was AWESOME. Totally loved it, and I got a lot of pent-up anger out, haha.
