Everyone will do a float with a beach scene so something different will get the judges..... maybe with the ocean and surf boards with Bearcats riding the waves? Or how about the Baywatch theme only is Bearcat Watch? I don't know... floats are fun and cheezy and so are my ideas! ha ha

This is so totally embarrassing but the only year I remember was my freshman year, because I was the XO float chairwoman!!!! We were paired with the Delts, which thrilled me to no end because I was dating one at the time (not my husband) but we didn't win. We weren't even close.

I love homecoming. I look forward to it every year....not for the game, which I avoid at all costs, not for the parade, which I rarely rise early enough to see, but for RAY'S. You have all heard me talk about Ray's before, and on homecoming weekend it is the entertainment mecca of the East. There will be a line all the way down the block by 8 pm....fortunately, being townies, Brent and I will be down there with a table reserved by about 6. EVERYONE (especially the greek alums) goes to Ray's both Friday and Saturday night.....we already reserved our babysitter....our favorite girl who is an ex-student of Brent's. We offered her $150.00 to come down from school and be at our disposal both nights and of course she jumped at it. I have only missed one homecoming at Ray's since 1993, and that was two years ago when we had to go to California for Brent's cousin Coulter's wedding. I love getting to see my girls from XO (who are scattered all over and I never see) and I think I get even more pleasure out of seeing old "rivals." Brent and I always run into an ex or 2, and then there are always those gals from other chapters that we always had the little competition thing going. It's mindless fun....everyone gets along now of course and we have a great time catching up. It is the weekend of the 20th....looking forward to it.

Cool

I love HC too!! Last year, we were paired with ATO. We would meet every night at the ATO house to work on various projects. It was hectic, but really fun. It's just a good time to party and get to know a bunch of people. This past year, my chapter was paired up with Pi Kap. (Hotties!!) It was cool to go back and to see everyone. I went to the game with all the alums. (UCF won, by the way!) We have the parade on Church Street Station and spent the rest of the day tailgating. It's kinda wierd going back- I don't know all the pledges! But, it was still really nice to see all my girls!
