What is the nicest compliment that you have received recently(that you don't mind sharing here
)?
I just received a lovely email from a student thanking me for all of my hard work and for the course. I do love to received unsolicited praise from my students. It is affirming. I particularly love receiving emails from students that I had a while ago.
Also, a couple of weeks ago I was chatting with my cousin (7), and he was asking me questions about X-Men. As usual, we started the conversation with X-Men and ended up talking about prejudice and discrimination (All of our conversations are like this. He starts with a seemingly simple question, but quickly gets right to the much more complex ideas that lie beneath. He is a great kid.
). He kept asking me questions while I was trying to watch the movie.
I asked him, why do you always ask me so many questions. He said, because you know everything. That brought a smile to my face.
