So lucky, saw him during the Dark Side of the Moon tour in South Africa. Looks like this tour is even more extravagant.

Roger Waters and I share the same birthday (SEVERAL years apart, I might add!). He's talented out the wazoo, but I haven't heard wonderful things about him as a person - particularly WRT the way he treated his bandmates over the years.

Well his crazy control freakiness is what guided Pink Floyd to their greatness. His and PF music take up a pretty sizable portion of my ipod and I own and listen frequently to every cd they made up to the point he left as well as his solo stuff. It wasn't the same without him. Quite frankly, I'm not sure that David Gilmour is the nicest guy either. He still seems bitter after all these years.

Yeah, I was going to say, I think the assholery is pretty evenly spread throughout that band. There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy.

Nick Mason seem to be a nice guy, but the other guys seem to be perfectionists. I think they're that way because they wan't to make sure the audience get their money worth. Herd during the Division Bell tour, the backing band gets fine every time they make a mistake.
