Movie: One Week

Hello Sorors,
Over the weekend I had the opprotunity to see a very wonderful movie called "One Week." It deals with HIV, promiscuity,love and taking responsibility for one's actions and a few other topics, but most importantly it brought up a very important issue that is taking the lives of so many of our young brothers and sisters today (Unprotected sexs which leads to STD and HIV). The movie was thought provoking and it needs to be seen. Organize a trip whether it is with your organization or with some family members and friends. Unfrtunately, Hollywood thought that this topic was too heavy for the young black community so they are not distributing it, A black distribution company is doing it but as you can imagine their resources are not as big as a major Hollywood company. At this point it is through word of mouth and a few advertising spots on radio stations. Support the movie to show that we do want to see good quality movies that are educational.

Question? Is this movie only showing in selective theaters?
They will probably never show this movie in Alexandria, (Conservative) Va!

I was at the Pre-Premier party last week. It was off the hook!!!

Could someone please answer my questions? Is this movie only playing in select theaters? Does anyone know if this movie is playing in the DC/N.Va/MD area?

I really want to see this movie!

Soror SeriousSigma,

Isn't there a website telling which cities this movie is playing at? It is playing here in Chgo, but only at a select few theaters.

Maybe try www.oneweek.com--I believe that's it.

If anyone knows if there is a different website where this info can be obtained, please post that info.

I guess I will have to live vicariously through you, until this puppy makes it to Hollywood Video, because I just don't know if it is going to reach Portland/Vancouver or Seattle.
