Rho Chi Gifts
I went through formal recruitment for the first time this fall as a sophomore, got a bid but depledged before initiation because I really wasn't feeling the house. I felt like I had made the wrong decision in ranking the houses I preferenced, and was pretty stressed about the whole situation for several weeks. I really miss being Greek, but since I signed the MRABA agreement I won't be able to accept a bid until next fall.
Two weeks ago, I randomly ran into one of my rho chis at our school's weekender. When we all got back, I decided to call her up and ask if she wanted to meet up, because I was still very upset about the situation I was in. I felt so much better about my situation and my options after speaking with her, and I just really feel like she went above and beyond her duties as an RC.
I'd really love to get her something to show my appreciation for all of her help, any ideas?

Pretty much anything goes I'd say..some flowers(maybe her sororities flower if they aren't too hard to find!) ,a gift with her sorority letters on it, even a card would be cute!

Are you planning on rushing again or looking into informal recruitment?
If yes, be careful before you give a gift to your recruitment counselor, especially if she is no longer disaffiliated. Some campuses have rules against gifts being give to pnms from sisters, and pnms giving gifts to sisters. (Check recruitment rules on your campus).
I feel the most appropriate thing would be to send her a nice thank you note, expressing how helpful she was. I think a well written thank you note can be just as meaningful.

If you are crafty, a handmade card would be nice with a sincere well written thank you note inside.
