lesson I learned tonight
Don't be rude to annoying/dorky guys who talk to you at a bar- they may have hot friends!
There was a party at one of the larger bars in our area for all the Graduate and Professional Students. I went went my friend Monica, and this annoying/dorky guy started talking to me, and his friend to her. Well I was nice (i'm not good at being mean!) and making small talk, and their friend comes up and he is H-O-T!!!!!! And as I started speaking to him, really nice, really smart. Ended up going from there to a restaurant/bar, then down to another section of town for a concert. Got a little kiss goodnight  and now a date for tomorrow night!
Just goes to show- it DOES pay to be nice!
It's late, i have class in a few hours, but i'm going to bed a VERY happy girl

Hey kd, that's awesome!! (i'm gonna put my 2cents in here)
Something like that happened to me 3 weeks ago or so. I was with my brother (a lambda chi) and it was homecoming and he was in charge of the Pig Cooker to make sure no one screwed with it over night. So him and a few guys brought a couch and tv and vcr in front of the hall to chill. Anyway, I was keeping him company, when he ran to go get more beer... well this SigEp from the next hall over came to say hi (since i was sitting bymyself) and started talking. And I mentioned how I did'nt know any SigEps even though I hang out at hte building right next door to them. So he introduces me to like 15 of them. Now, this kid who had come talk to me isn't... well I dunno he was nice but I probably wouldnt date him. But I was still hanging out and chatting. Then he introduced me to Joe with whom I talked the rest of hte night, he got my number, called me the next day, and we've been kinda-sorta 'talking' (whatever the hell the terms mean these days, talking, dating, seeing each other, etc) since then!!!
Enough rambling (im longwinded)...

DATE UPDATE:
Actually it was kind of funny. I was supposed to call him when i got home from Phi Alpha Delta initiation (law fraternity). But I called his cell a few times, no answer, no voicemail. I was PISSED... Aroung 10:15 or so decided to throw in the towel and go to bed. As I was getting changed, guess who calls, wondering why I haven't called? Evidentally the number i had was one digit off (note to self: double check what numbers you've put in your cell after a few drinks). So I just went over to his place and watched a movie. And he was a perfect gentleman! Definately restoring my faith in men. So it went well. Seeing him tomorrow too.  Thanks everyone foryour encouragement and good wishes!
