1969-2009 Remembering Woodstock 40 years later

I know it's a little early to post this, but I was up watching Woodstock, and I was just listening to the artists who were performing there that day, so I thought I would post it. I'm not sure if anyone on here is into the same kind of music I'm into, but if you are, are there any artist who performed at Woodstock that you really like and still listen to? Which songs?

There were so many people there, and as I was watching it looks like so much more than just a concert. It just seems like a 3 day big party. I'm not sure why some people are walking around in the nude though lol. During that time, I guess it's like "anything goes".

Well, anyway, they had some of my favorites there, like Joan Baez, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Sha Na Na, The Who (they're the best) Oh, and I like Crosby, Stills, & Nash too. Just to name a few. Oh, and I can't forget Sly and the Family Stone. I think they said about 500,000 people showed up. I don't think there will ever be anything even close to that again. I mean, at least not with artists and music like that.

eta: and I think the love bugs and love buses back then are SO "groovy."

I agree with you - never will there be another thing like Woodstock! I was just talking about it today with my parents and how I wish I grew up in the 60's/70's. So much history and fun times!

I'd have to say I'd love to see The Who and Crosby, Stills, and Nash as well. (Thanks to my guitar teacher, he got me into it )

Even if I didn't like any of the bands at Woodstock, it still would have been an amazing experience!

This is so true. I guess I was born 35 years too late. Driving to Woodstock is like driving into history.

One thing I love is that there are still bands touring that were at Woodstock. Santana comes to mind here.

Janis Joplin is pretty cool. Here's a cool youtube Hendrix interview right after Woodstock.
