Question Rotation (Small Chapter)

Hi Ladies!

Sorry if I'm posting a topic that has been discussed already, but I'm new to the site.

I come from a small greek community. We have three sororities on campus and our recruitment is "no frills". My chapter size is around 35 girls. I was wondering if anyone could help me in regards to rotation. We should be rotating two days of recruitment, out of the four days. Since, we do not have houses we have recruitment in large rooms on campus.

The first day is just info and get to know you. The set up is 5 large circular tables with boards set up around that. Girls will sit and move around to look that the boards.

The second day is philanthropy. There will be 6 square tables where PNM's and members will make their crafts.

Let me know if you all have any advice or resources I could use!

Thanks!!

Since you are located insanely close to your national HQs I would just suggest giving them a phone call. I am certain that they will be happy to help you, and their feedback will likely be better than reading something off of the internet.

^ What Blondie said.

Also... have you read through your Recruitment Chair binder? I assume that your HQ provides working binders and DETAILED instructions for each new officer. I would be very surprised if there is not very, very detailed info in there about rotation and all things recruitment.

Do you have an advisor who you can reach out to? When it comes down to the nitty-gritty of recruitment like this, you really are best off speaking with an advisor.

Good luck!

I will try contacting EO. Our lifetime membership adviser just left and we are waiting to see if we will be getting a new one. I will try contacting the alum group in the area.

This is our second year to do Recruitment. Our first year our VPM resigned two weeks before Recruitment and there wasn't much to go off from. The first year we did a 'bump' style rotation one day and it was not executed well and harmed us I think.

Recruitment Question.....

How about posting your question in the Delta Delta Delta forum? You may receive more suggestions in addition to those above. Also, try calling the recruitment chairwomen from any nearby DDD chapters for help. Good luck.

Check out "cocktail" style. That usually works very well for small groups. It's where a person is asigned to each PNM and takes her around to meet the others. You never leave her during that party - just escort her around and make sure she meets the number of people you reuire her to meet.
