movie based on Pledged book - whatever happened to that?

a while back there were murmurs in the Hollywood trades about a movie that was based on the book Pledged. Was that the Paris Hilton movie or is it still coming out some other time, anyone know?

It's a different movie. IMDb only has info at IMDbPro, but there is a little info at The Movie Insider and at Movies-Studio.com.

Lorne Michaels is listen as one of the producers. The guy fromSNL. Are they making it a comedy?

It's probably going to be something like "Mean Girls" where they took a non-fiction book and put a story towards the overall theme of the book. Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey were both involved in that and it was very good and entertaining so if he is involved I'm interested.

As for Paris doing a bad job...I rented that movie (for sh*ts and giggles) so they can't have done that bad a job, I didn't even go see House Bunny or any of those other movies, but I've seen "Pledge This".

No, I don't remember what it's about, but the promotion wasn't that bad...

I also saw on The Soup (where I get all my important info) that she's being sued by the movie's producers for doing nothing to promote it. It's pretty bad when even Paris Hilton realizes something was a stupid idea!
