QUESTION!!!!! about switching fraternities.

I recently joined a fraternity last fall, ghost rushed, and now that i think about it..seems to think i have joined the wrong one on campus.
Is there any way i can drop my current letters completely and pledge another fraternity?

You can drop your letters, but whether or not you'll be able to join the new one is completely up to the members of that fraternity. They may not want someone with a history of dropping letters.

And you've only been in your fraternity for one semester. Give it a chance.

a17ITY? In all seriousness - what do you mean by "ghost rushed"? Could you not join officially for some reason?

We use the term "ghost pledged", which means for one reason or another IFC can't know about the rushee so he is not on our official roster, until he "pledges" with the Spring class. By that time, he's already a member.

IFC often bans people from rushing for getting in trouble in their dorms for alcohol or drugs before rush.

If you're not initiated, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to do whatever. Just be aware that there's going to be a stigma attached to you for dropping.

So are you saying you were initiated, or not?
