Ketchup & Peanut butter
Poll time:
My guy and I have been having a 5 year debate on where to store Ketchup and peanut butter. Ok, I put ketchup in the frig, and peanut butter in the pantry. He's the opposite, ketchup in the pantry and peanut butter in the frig. What do you do and why?

ketchup and peanut butter
I put my ketchup in the frig and the peanut in the cabnet because that's the way my mom does it and it just make a lot of sense, why would I want cold peanut butter?

I, too, am a ketchup in the fridge and peanut butter in the pantry type gal. Uh, warm ketchup...doesn't it get watery or something like that? Uh, cold peanut butter...doesn't it lose its creaminess and stuff? Anyway, any other way would be uncivilized

i love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cold peanut butter is too hard to spread evenly, w/out "tearing" the bread. so, peanut butter stays in the cabinet.
i usually eat ketchup on hot food. since i don't like the mixture of cold ketchup and hot food, ketchup goes in the cabinet also.
as far as warm ketchup being "watery", just shake the bottle a few times and that takes care of that.

I keep peanut butter in the pantry and ketchup in the fridge. Cold peanut butter is hard and tears up the bread when you try to fix a sandwich.

If it's all natural peanut butter (not Jif or Skippy), it should be stored in the fridge. The same goes for all natural ketchup. If it's your typical every-day well known brand, it can be stored in either place.

I put ketchup in the frige because it stays for a minute in my house. I couldn't tell you the last time I bought peanut butter, but I do remember that when I did buy it, I too placed in the pantry.
