Just Wondering... This is for the NPHC
How do all of you feel about finding out that a girl says she wants to join your sorority, through the grapevine? I mean I told the friends I thought I could trust but now everybody in the Organization knows. Is this a bad thing and if I was to do intake, would that affect my outcome?

Is it possible they all know because you've been faithfully attending their programs and making friends with the members?

Maybe so but...Even my "friends" have told me.....We tell such and such everything!!! So I feel like that might be a factor in how they know. But will it affect me?

But I have become close to them, that's only because they are really nice and friendly women.

So what's the problem? They know you are interested, so what? Act like you did before and keep it moving.

I mean people say that if they think you are going around saying you want to be this or that, the intake process will be harder.

Niki gave you the best answer, keep it moving. No one can give you the EXACT answer that you're seeking.

It sounds like you have not been discreet and if that's the case, it could affect you in whether or not you will be extended membership (has nothing to do with a "hard" intake process) but there's nothing you can do about it now except to start being discreet and wait to see what happens.

That would drive me insane knowing that bc they know...I might not get in!!! But if that deteres me from joining whomever's sisterhood, God didnt want me to do it.

You are over thinking it. So they know? Big deal. Stop telling your business, focus on your grades and keep it moving.

I agree.
You're worrying about the wrong things. You can't change the fact that they know. Focus on your grades, community service, and attending their programs. That matters more than how they found out about your interest. Now that they know you're interested, they'll be watching you to see if you can be an asset and how you carry yourself. Show them that you're on top of your stuff.
