Question Ronald Reagan

What is everyones opinion on Ronald Reagan? I think he was a great president. Not the best by far but really good. He was a real nice man. From childhood, to being a TKE, to being an actor, to being a president he always cared for people and tried to help them in any way he could. Its sad that he is slowly dieing: losing all his memory. He is so bad off he can not even leave the house not even for his own daughters funeral. I hope he suffers no pain and that his legend will never die especially after when he pass away. I pray for him and his family to help get through all this.

I agree. I think he was a good president....not the best, but he did his best to make the US a better place.

His legend won't die though, because there are a lot of tekes out there that will remember him for years to come, and I know a lot of people who totally respect him, and won't let others forget what he has done for us. I just wish that people would stop criticizing some of his policies. I mean, he was president years ago, and people are STILL criticizing some of the things he implemented, even though most of them actually BENEFITED all americans.

I'm a dyed in the wool left wing liberal. I disagreed with-and still do with many of Frater Reagans's environmental, defense and budget policies.

That said, the man accomplished an incredible amount, from being the Prytanis of the Iota Chapter, to being a movie star, to his career in politics, I do respect the man for his actions, and especially his commitment to the fraternity. I've seen on tke.org his change of address for "The Teke" listing his new addy as 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Frater Reagan really has demonstrated that no matter where you go in life, TKE is the fraternity for life.
