Post Professionals in Multicultural-GLOs

Are there any multicultural-GLOs out there that accept professional women into their sororities? I had a friend who asked, and I thought it was a good question. Thanks in advance.

Hi DreamCatcher,
I think I know what you're asking, but at the same time, I'm a little confused. ARe you asking if there are MCGLOs that accept women that have graduated college and are now professionals? If so, then yes, there are MCGLOs that do. Tell your friend to do a search on multicultural sororities on like Lycos or something and she should get a whole list of MCGLOs. Each one will vary, but I know there are some that do take graduates. I'm in a multicultural sorority and we do not take college grads at this point. We are in the works of creating grad chapters, so one day, we'll be able to.
I hope I answered your question. If not, I'd be happy to try again.

What a great question! Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. does accept professional and graduate women into their sorority!!! In fact, I was the first one. I join Theta Nu Xi last Summer, and since then we've had 2 other professional women join and have 2 pledging this Spring. I am the Committee chairperson who is dealing with establishing chapter guidelines and the intake process. We're working were hard to have a full program in place by the end of Spring Feel free to contact me if you'd like more information!!!

(PhoenixGrad,I'm the one who posted under DreamCatcher. My friend was livid when she found out I sent something under her account )

How intense is it? Don't get me wrong, I don't think it'll be easy but do you guys take into consideration the fact that grad students (as well as working women) have A LOT on their plates and might not be able to do all of the "little things" (i.e. do your laundry, drive you around) that undergrads do?

If you can't respond. I'll understand.

This is for anyone to answer, but especially MCGLOs.

To answer your question in a round about way WE do not HAZE in any way, shape or form!!!! Hazing to ME is anything deeming or uncomfortable to the aspirant. I myself joined as a Professional woman. I'm married and have been out of college for 5 years. I have a full time job and a life. I understand the need to carry out my normal responsibilities while being involved with my sorority. We take each aspirant's other responsibilities seriously as well. TNX has had several graduate students join! I'd love to talk to you more about it. You can drop me a line at phoenixbutterfly@hotmail.com. Also, feel free to visit our website at www.thetanuxi.org.
