How about something like a definition:
"KAT=
fearless filine, has nine lives, and after this night will need all of 'em..."
Thereis always: "Take me drunk, I'm home", Or "If lost, return this hot mama to ..."
Or have a check off system... for each shot they do:
car bomb------------------(check here)
lemon drop---------------check here)
cranberry drop (vodka and splash of cran)------check here)
-
-
You get the idea-- but be kind, and do not make them drink the bathtub liquor. lemon drops are best with citrus vodkas, like Danzka or something.
The cool thing about the check box is that people have to write on the shirts! interaction is more fun!

Is your house allowed to drink with letters on?

How can a sophomore class go on a bar crawl??????
Most sophomores are 19 or 20.
It's one thing to drink with your letters on, it's a whole 'nother ballgame to drink UNDERAGE with your letters on....

Danielle, I think they can go into the bars there and not drink (unlike our backward state). That is what you're planning aren't you??

I think a lot depends on what part of the country you're from.
I would've said a Phi Mu NEVER drinks with her letters on, but I was telling a sister from PA how I lost my lavilere (took it off when I went in a bar, and it fell out of my coat pocket at a boy's house) and she just burst out laughing... apparently it's not such a big deal up north!

I would strongly recommend against a 'pledge class bar crawl.' Theta policy (iirc) says that you should separate any social event involving alcohol from your affiliation with Theta.
Basically, if somone would assume what you're doing is a Theta event (and how couldn't they, if you have tshirts!) and the point of the thing is just drinking/getting drunk, it's a really bad idea. I'd go check out your risk management manual and talk to your advisers.
Sorry if that was a bummer, but sisters gotta keep sisters safe!

we got in trouble from IHQ for having a T-shirt that said "Absolut Alpha Gam" in the shape of a Vodka bottle. When I was a collegian I thought it was a real bummer, but now that I'm older and a bit wiser, I realize separating alcohol and sorority was a GOOD thing

Hey guys, thanks for all the responses. No, we are absolutely never allowed to drink in our letters. We don't plan on the t-shirts saying anything about Theta. Our bars are 19 to get in, and once you're in....there's nothing stopping you from drinking. It's the norm for every pledge class to have a bar crawl every year. We all look out for each other and try to keep things relatively under control. I really appreciate the suggestions! We were thinking of something along the lines of a little catty saying, but it will definitely be taken as a joke. With that in mind....have any good lines? Thanks!

Oh, it's a big thing in the North, too!
I'm in 100% agreement with Meremere about the 20/20 hindsight.

All right, well, now that we've established that any connection between sorority and drinking is bad......
How about.....

ours were real cute.. this was our senior graduation crawl...
they were pink with black writing...
on the front was Angels with the 's' making a swoosh type thing and written on it was varsity drinking team
on the back was 03 for our grad year..
...also i know this is a little old.. but one thing we have always done is have girls not graduating who are still in town and over 21 (so that they can get into all the bars with you.. some bars let unders in and some dont).. they are there to make sure everyone is ok and stays together... they dont drink of course..

LOL cuz you never drank or drank at bars for that matter before you turned 21? Seriously... the only legit concern here is drinking wiht letters on... we aren't allowed to do that!

Several of the other Gamma Phi chapters in the state that make bar crawl shirts avoid the letters issue by putting something on it that makes it obvious to other Gamma Phis who they are, but not to the general public - once a girl came into my store wearing a "Founded Upon a BAR" shirt that had a crescent moon on it, then on the back had some sort of funny saying and a logo with their school mascot pounding back a beer on the back. Nobody else knew she was a Gamma Phi, but I caught on.
