Need some help...

I am a senior in high school and I’m attending the University of Alabama next fall. I’m 100% sure I want to go Greek, but have no sense of direction in relation to which Fraternity I want to join. I spent a couple days at the PIKE house this fall with a buddy of mine. I had a great time, but it’s not like I had a lot of time to explore my options either. I am from out-of-state, so it’s kind of hard to get an unbiased opinion on which houses I should look into. Any help would be greatly appreciated… Also, how do I get involved with the good ones? Since I don’t know many people down there…

Thanks

You should go to a bunch of houses and check each one out for yourself. Don't go on anyone's opinion of a house, YOU are the one looking to pledge, not them. Best of luck in your search.

It's good to not understand anything before you speak of course.

Because when something bad happens in a really big car – accidentally speeding through the middle of a gang of unruly young people who have been taunting you in a drive-in restaurant, for instance – it happens very far away – way out at the end of your fenders. It's like a civil war in Africa; you know, it doesn't really concern you too much. - P.J. O'Rourke
