I think the best place you can go for this type of confidential, membership selection info is your national organization. Get in touch with the national membership officer and let her know you need help. Or, get in touch with other membership directors from other chapters similar to yours. These people will be glad to share some ideas with you, but you will not get this type of info on an open internet forum.

I'll give the info because I've actually seen the sheets and I'm not naming particular chapters.

The way it's done here is they have a list of the girls who are coming through each party. Next to each name they write either "H" or "G". H is for hometown (as in they know 'em from back home) and G for Grapevine. And then they give 'em a rank based on what they know from back home...H-1 means that she was an awesome girl from their hometown, G-10 means they heard through the grapevine she's no good. Clearly H's mean more than G's.

Just my little tidbit of info.

She wanted to know how other groups do their "scoring" between rush parties. She was at a meeting where apparently people from other GLOs who also don't understand discretion were blabbing about their voting processes. OP said her group doesn't have such a system, they just talk about all the girls and do something with 5 stars or something of the like (I really don't remember the details but I know it was too much info), and wondered if everyone would just spell out for her exactly how they do all their voting and scoring during rush 'cuz it would really help her out and all, kthxbye.

OMG, EW, how did you know that's how we rank PNMs?!?

But you forgot the part where we take the PNMs' weight into account. We wouldn't want the Circling of the Fat to take all day.

Pulling names out of a hat works really well too.

For the PNMs/other uninformed people reading: It's none of your business. I'd advise you not to ask because you may get a weird look or something.

This is not directed at EW particularly, but in general I think this is how most of us assume membership selection works.

I mean.... it's not random. It's subjective. You've got to rank a lot of girls in a short amount of time.

I dunno.... what EW posted isn't even an exaggeration like throwing darts or picking names out of a hat.

*shrug*

If you don't want to talk about it, don't.
