computer-challenged KD needs help

Hello Ladies,


Okay, I'm old and computers are the bane of my existence! GC's new format is very nice but it's making me very confused.

With the old format, you could tell which forums and which threads had new posts since you last visited. But now everything always shows up as having new posts. (Very annoying....especially since I've been anxiously awaiting news from the girls going through rush...er, "recruitment".)

Is this happening to anyone else or am I really as technologically challenged as I think I am?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Then I couldn't figure out if I could unsend the message or how to send you another message once you were logged off and I couldn't click on your name anymore. (pathetic, isn't)

Hi LeslieAnne,

When you log onto GC, are all the icons to the left of the forum name yellow? If you allow GC to use your "cookies" to identify you, it'll know which forums/posts you've visited. You can go look for yourself in your User Control Panel and make any necessary changes. Also in the User CP you can edit your profile, add, a signature, edit your buddy lists, check your PMs, etc.

Also, you can subscribe to the Rush forum so it'll tell you when there's new posts in there.

I didn't even know that there was a User Control Panel.

I think I've fixed everything now. (Yes, the icons on the left of the forum lists were always all yellow.)

As for "Today's Active Posts"... the link is on the mostly blue page that has all the lists of forums.

General Forums
Alpha Forums
Delta Forums
etc.

The link is on the upper right-hand corner of the page, just below where is says "Welcome Back, ________"

It says "View New Posts."

(Amazed that I actually knew this one)
