Cold toilet seats
Does anyone else hate sitting on cold toilet seats? UGH! My house is usually freezing and the bathroom doesn't exactly welcome warmth.
We should design a toilet seat warmer. Any engineers out there?

For some reason our bathrooms stay cold. The rest of the house can be scorching but not the bathroom!
I totally agree about the heated toilet seat. If they can make heated towel racks you'd think someone would come up with a heated toilet seat (and one that puts itself back down after men use it).

My bathroom at work is like peeing in an igloo...but honestly, I prefer that to a warm seat, because a warm seat means that the person before you was there for a nice long stay.

BTW, there are already self-closing seats for those who don't have trained males:

Where I work is designed like a house, with a full attic, kitchen, basement, etc.
When I have to go do #2, I prefer to go to the attic -- the bathrooms (in my opinion) are way too close to people's work stations.
But in the winter that attic bathroom is ca-razay cold! ugh!

I'm seriously considering purchasing one. Valentine's day is coming up. That would be a great gift for husband!

One semester of college I had this bi-polar roommate that had been hospitalized in high school for anorexia. She said that toilet seats hurt when she sat down and asked if I would mind if she brough a toilet seat cover.
It wasn't just any seat cover, it was pink and fuzzy (you know, like shag carpet). We had a big argument over it. I told her I refused to sit on it for fear of what I could possibly catch because it couldn't be disinfected.
That was just the start of a long quarter.
I would like to get her something for her car

Ew, the fuzzy toilet seat sounds like a germ breeding ground. Yuck yuck yuck!
Hehe I'm glad my frozen tush led to an amusing thread. :-)
Oh, and $79 is way too much for a warming toilet seat. I wonder if there's some cheaper way to make one yourself...hmmm...science project!

When I was little, my mother had a peach leather toilet seat in her bathroom. Oh, those 80's.

I understand Queen Elizabeth II always travels with her own private commode seat. I've read that so many times, I'd just once like to see WHY she likes that particular seat. I want pictures!!!!!
