Talking NBA Finals!!

Are you guys watching the finals?! They are going into overtime as I write! Snow just missed the 3-pointer, which would have given the Sixers the victory in the last seconds . I want the Sixers to win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad the Sixers couldn't hold on to the 12-point lead or whatever it was in the 3rd qtr.

Underdogs rule! It's time for the Lakers to lose ...go Sixers!

P.S. Oh yeah, I also have a bet going on w/ my cousin, who's a die-hard Laker fan .

YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD-BYE 19-game win streak by the Lakers!!! hahaha (sorry Laker fans).

Philly does a miraculous come-from-behind win in OT...YAY 76ers!! Now they're primed to win, since they've won home field advantage AND have their middle games at home!

Newbie! You're obviously an NBA fan so you will know what's up with this.....some guy on the Lakers married a high school student or something? Is this true? Thought I heard something on the radio but could have been mistaken.

WHAT??!!! WHOA. KillarneyRose--I'm not as die-hard for the NBA as I am for baseball , so I don't know about that! Wow!

Well, you probably know this, too...but Kobe married (I think they're still together?) a girl who was also very young, like a 19 year old or something like that.

Hmmm...I honestly don't know who that would be! I know that Rick Fox is married to Vanessa Williams (are they still together?), and well, Shaq has had numerous claims that he has slept with certain icons such as Cindy Crawford and Venus Williams. Of course, that's all BS!

That is horrible! I'm so sorry I don't know who that is...but I can almost bet that there was a child involved? Perhaps some Laker fan can educate us! (And also tell me if those marriages with Kobe and with Rick Fox are still intact!)

Tracy,

There's a very informative thread on the Kobe Bryant/Vanessa Laine marriage in the DST forum: http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/...ML/001019.html

Oh, thanks OTW! So it was Kobe?! I thought his fiancee was 19?

Hmm... if she was indeed pregnant (where I'm reading the thread...rumors had it that she was pregos), did she ever show?

Wow, an engagement ring that cost close to 100,000 dollars

The fact that Fox could get Vanessa has me aching to this day. And yes they are still together. And Shaq never claimed that. A reporter was interviewing him and girls came up and he joked around saying he got all of them and named a few celebrities. People blew it out of proportion and the next day, he made sure everyone knew he was only joking around.

Stat of the day: Iverson took 41 SHOTS in that game, almost as much as the rest of the 76ers combined. Was it Confucius who first said, "There's no 'I' in team?" I mean, if I took 40 shots a game, I could lead the league in scoring too. One of the many reasons why I no longer watch the NBA...

I was soooo pissed too. I was watching the game with a room full of people that are "Lakers Haters". I've been a fan since I was little too! Don't worry (let's see how the game goes tonight!). The Lakers are the gr8test!

P.S. "For those "Laker Haters" out there--stop sippin' on that Haterade--it's not good for ya!

Yeah, yeah, so we're down 2-1 We could be leading 3-0 if the Sixers could have made those damn free throws and got to the FT line. Hahaa, yesterday was an excellent sight--Shaq Daddy being given 6 fouls in a matter of 15 minutes!!!! That was awesome.

Lemme tell you though...I am so in love with the Sixers. Nobody has shown more heart, more courage, more strength than them!! And Allen Iverson--can't say enough about him! He has gone through such a makeover recently...he is definitely THE strongest player out there...in terms of heart!

Lakers are no longer invincible huh?!! They aren't as great as everybody said they would be!
