Oddest event at ceremony...

What is the oddest thing that has happened at either a pledging or initiation ceremony? (PG and Chartering ceremonies OK too!).

One of mine... At a Kappa chapter ceremony my senior year, while we were cleaning up, someone sliced up his hand and ended up with 15 stitches.

The Ritual room was hot, and the President locked her knees, and passed out in the middle of the ceremony. The Sarge, who was an EMT, took her outside while the next-in-charge officer took over the readings.

One of the Vice Presidents started laughing uncontrollably. I had to take over her part.

I felt bad for the neophytes, but it was funny as hell!

Hmmm. Of all the many APO ceremonies I've done, I've never had anything thing really go wrong.

Not so of the many scouting ceremonies. I've used some of the bad experiences amoung those to avoid issue with APO ceremonies (light the wicks of the candles beforehand so they light better during the ceremony, read thru the ceremony in advance to avoid misproununced words, etc)

I remember being confused consistently with my best friend when we were part of the 1998 rechartering ceremony at Kappa Mu....

Hey, I was there! I've even got a t-shirt or something from the event.
