Unhappy No more Nick GAS

Not only there will be no more Courttv, but there will be no more Nick GAS. Starting 6 AM eastern Monday, Nick GAS will be no more. The N will take Nick GAS spot and air 24 hours. Nick GAS will still be available at turbonick.com, but you do have to have Windows Vista to view Nick GAS.

My comments:
-This sucks that I had to have Windows Vista to view Nick GAS. It will probably be $150 to get my OS upgraded.

-We 80s kids got robbed big time. We thought that we were going to get a Nick Rewind channel, but they had to create the channel to a bunch of teenyboppers (no offense, but...). The only shows that I like on The N are Beyond the Break, South of Nowhere, and Radio Free Roscoe. I like All That, Kenan and Kel, Saved by the Bell (which is already on TBS), Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (which is aired on dozens of channels) and Growing Pains as well. But the rest of the schedule I don't care for. I used to like Degrassi, it has jumped the shark not too long ago.

I don't even know what Nick GAS is!

I did read in the newspaper today that Noggin and The N were splitting so that each could expand to 24 hours (so pre-school programming can be on after 6 and teenaged stuff can be on during the day.

ETA: Ooooooooh, I think I know what Nick GAS is now....it's a completely different station which (on my system) only seems to play Double Dare and Legends of the Hidden Temple.

M'eh.

Yeah I think it is ridiculous that not only do they show Fresh Prince of Bel Air on Nick at Nite, but they also show it on Nick2 (digital cable) ALL OF THE TIME. You can catch it on Nick2 from 4:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. EVERY DAY. So why would they need to showing it on The N too?
To the people of Nickelodeon, pick just one channel to air the show! ...or maybe you want the 24 hour Fresh Prince channel?

And it is crazy that TBS airs the show too. There are a lot of good shows that doesn't air at all that should be picked up.

My daughter is excited about the change but my son is ticked. He liked all the physical challenge shows.

That still doesn't help me. Comcast took off The N/Noggin and I believe NickGAS a few weeks ago. The two channels are nothing but static. Hopefully it'll be back. I haven't watched Degrassi in forever and that's my favorite show.

I have Comcast and I have The N and Noggin. The N took the place of NickGAS. Now I have Nickelodeon, Nick2, The N, Noggin, and NickToon. It is a little excessive, but whatever.

I would like to see re-runs of the classics: Real Monsters, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, Pete & Pete, old school Rugrats & Doug... I could go on and on.

Me too except Roco and Real Monsters.

I didn't know what Nick GAS was until last night, when a bunch of us were watching an old episode of GUTS...remember that show? It was Nickelodeon's answer to American Gladiators! So funny!

I have just regular cable, not digital. We have Dish Network because they pick up RAI, the Italian station.

Ditto on Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts. I wasn't a fan of the others. I would, however, like to see You Can't Do That On Television again.

GUTS! That's the show my son had me watching last week. It was fun to watch but in every episode we saw, there were two boys and one girl competing and the stunts seemed more do-able for the boys, so I thought it was biased.

That makes it extra sweet when a girl comes in first place.

Well, the one we watched had two girls and a boy, and the boy SUCKED. I mean, he finished his missions a good 10 seconds behind the girls. Granted, we were all drunk when we were watching it, but it was so funny to watch him flail while the girls were leaping over bounds and stuff.

What made it even funnier was that we realized that these kids are in their mid-20s now!

that is awful! my son matthew loves GAS. Now if they would only remove some of the fresh prince shows and cut them down to say 1 or 2 a night and replace with other shows that would be my suggestion. Or just put them on one nick channel instead of both now that would be ok. I mean i love the show but dang two channels every night... it gets to be overkill. Will Smith proberly doesn't mind with his risidual checks. lol

RIP NICK GAS

I must admit, I was enjoying watching it and that he got me liking it just before it went off the air.
