Greek Relations

How where/are Greek relations on your campus?
Do chapters sponsor activities together? Do orgs. partywalk/stroll together (unity strolls)?

On the yard where I was born(UVa)...It was unheard of for greeks to party walk and stroll at other Greeks parties and functions...I remember being told that the Ques were mad at us for us doing our call and a party walk at their cab b4 I graduated...but when I moved to the DC area it was something different. The hypest greek love, however, was when I went down to Houston one year, I went over to Lamar Univ. in Beaumont for a Kappa party...and all the greeks were partying walking/strolling together in one line...but doing different strolls...it was phat...I never had so much fun...

Greek relations on my campus could be and should be better. I attend a predominantly white institution and the black and latino greek numbers are so small, This year the largest org will have a whopping 3 members! So you would think that people want to join together and do something, but when it is proposed at NPHC meetings teey are usually rejected. Unfortunately I think that we don't work together because of the relationships that those that came before us had with each other.

As far as greek relations...We were close to the Deltas when I was on the yard. (The AKA chapter was inactive), but after I graduated the chapter got close to the Akas. Now I think things have changed again...As far as the Fraternities, we were close the Kappas and to the Alphas (after they came back on the yard). We had joint programs with all of these groups except the Deltas.
