Hatchet man/men

Many aspired to get on the Grand Council only to be dumped along the way due to drinking, appearance, lack of skills needed
to impress the undergrads, crossing someone.
The scene was set just prior to conclaves...who was to be on the
Nominations Committe (I was on three) and who was to be the "chief" hatchet man...(I was the one on Howard Hibbs)
Georgeff, Kane, Aspinwall, Bishop, Clovis...many others...were
dispatched, some unceremoniously, and many bitter....
This is a chapter of TKE best left for the bar and is not in the history. All fraternities have ass kissers and homos and the problem with the single fat man. The powdered hair of a pretty
Kappa Sig, child molester, dumped finally...but not until a lot of
bad press and ill feelings.
Naw, politics can be dirty...gollllllleeee...

Most vicious politics I've observed was in kids ice hockey league.

Parents of the travel team players sought to control the league, so the fees of house league players could pay for their kids to travel (and in Atlanta ice hockey at the time, travel meant Charlotte, Huntsville, Louisville, etc.)

"The politics are so bitter. 'cause the stakes are so small." Wish I knew who said that very accurate thing.

I once visited a chapter nearly paralyzed by two (not very cool) fraters who were using their vote on rushees to gain power. "I won't vote for your rushee, unless I get this (office, room, favor)." No rushee was good enough - altho they all would have improved the chapter.

many years ago

I should 'nt have identified the fraternity....any old timer can tell
you.
Have excellent memories as a rushee of KU's Gamma Omicron chapter; they were of a good size, good rep and well-balanced.
Kappa Sigma, it would seem to many, is having the best year ever, and it may well be only the beginning of a fun trip. I'm told
you guys are returning to CU next spring, still have that nice house, and I am sure you'll do well. Interfraternally, Erik Conard

Preparing to move to a new condo, this morning I stumbled across my shingle, signed by Kaser and Lenwood.

Also have a bible, an initiation gift by my big brother.

The good ole days live on
