Fights within the chapter?
This was a topic of conversation last night.
Have any of you experienced or seen a physical fist fight within your chapter? What were the repercussions? Did it get straightened out? Any funny stories?

Just those half-dressed pillow fights that spontaneously break out every night!
Gotta let the guys have their fantasies!

Lol I figured this would be more common with guys since we all know how alcohol mixes with adrenaline!
If people don't want to post their story, they can PM it. There's gota be some chapter out there that had a "girlfight".

It happens.
I think that a fight is better than the passive aggressive stuff I've seen in a lot of sororities.
Guys get into a fight, beat each other's ass, and then the problem is solved.

Yep. But it would never happen with today's group.

Ditto. A punch might hurt for a bit, but women can be down right cruel to eachother, sisters or not.

I hope that I never get in a fight with some of the girls of my chapter, being like the third smallest, I find most them as intimidating.

It happens. Usually the result of some long-standing issue.
When they were pledges, one guy in our chapter basically sucker punched a pledge brother while they were getting a ride back from a frosh. Both were drunk. Guy that got punched had his nose broken. He couldn't get a very retaliation b/c he was in the back seat. I can't remember who the driver was or how they handled it...Both guys were sent to our judicial board. Had to work out the differences with a mediator (think it was the VP). Some of our more cut members served as security for it, b/c they were both pretty heated for a couple of weeks afterward.
The pledge classes have typically arranged and set up a "Pledge Fight Night" over the years, usually right about this time. Gives everyone a chance to vent some of the frustrations that come from living with new people in such close proximity. They weaar headgear and gloves. It's one of the things that I noticed as I lived in the house that tension gradually peaks every 6 weeks or so, or close to breaks, as people just get tired of the little things that take place. Right before Fall Break is the worst, as the freshmen are still learning what it means to be living with roommates, and that's usually about 8 weeks in, so it's a little bit longer, and the joy of being back in school has subsided a lot.

Never experienced it in my chapter - however I'm not surprised that it happens. Emotions run high sometimes, and people snap.
