ya know, winter's a comin' and you are likely to be sittin' around the house, too broke to play.
is there a campus near you that used to have Tekes?
Why not get a carload or two and head out to that school's union?
you can slither in there, sit down with some chicks, talk about the
Tekes wantin' to come back...does not cost much to talk, and, who knows, more may come of it
reactivatin' a chapter is fun, is a positive contribution you will be
proud of all your life.
and, ya' know, you will acquire some skills heretofore unknown in
the process.
do not deny a good man a chance to be a Teke.
Buckwheat is not the only guy who ever used a chemistry book in
lieu of being unable to find a bible...to pledge good men

One statistic TKEs do not overtly publicize...inactive chapters. In
our defense, we have gone on to many campuses which did not have greeks or where others did not dare. Attrition rate high.
We overwhelmingly have the most dead ones. And we are on a
goodly number of campuses where enrollment and chapter sizes
are small, like Reagan's Eureka--a survivor--surprisingly!
We have less $ coming in as many of our placements have been on campuses with a hardly affluent alumni, like streetcar or night campuses, teachers' colleges, glorified trade schools, extensions,
and so on. Auctioneering schools next?
Poor leadership, ineffective fielder training, turnover, slumbering
grand councils and ignoring the instilling of loyal alumni have all been scapegoats. But, then, look at some of the other outfits. So
I guess TKE has taken it's lumps in many other fashions.
On the way to recovery now, this is all in the past. So, as in my
previous posts, what have YOU done to carry on the dreams of
Tex Flint, Jim Logan, Dick Hall and others who dared to care?
Orphaned alumni...suck...why don't you reactivate a chapter?

I met Mary Love Collins and have an autographed picture of this Chi Omega icon..
Chi Omega is wonderful sorority and both the KU and K-State chapters were loaded with lovely and highly intelligent girls from
Lyons, Kansas, and while Tri Sigma is a close second, my heart
skips a beat when I think of how many darling Chi O's I have met
from virtually everywhere.
Have I met Mary Love...you bet. May she live forever in the minds
of all Chi O's. Thanks for asking. She was revered.
