WEEKLY newsletter

What is the deal with the e-mail newsletter from nationals? Is it weekly, biweekly, monthly, or what? I don't really care how often it comes out, but would like it be more consistent.

Thumbs up

Welcome to G C. And dont We all wish there was more consistnency from IHQ.

I bitched a bit about not gettng info from IHQ on emails and the content. It was a little more informative the next one.

The Cross & Cresent was supposed to come out every other Month. It hasnt.

But, here is the rub, it is called $$$.

We are not Bankrupt, but We as many other Greek Organizations are in finacial problems as We Grow, so does the budget.

Now, if there is any who are willing to donate time I am sure IHQ will Try to work you in!

I give that smiley because many have and have not been contacted.

While I feel We as an Orgaznization have a Great HQ personell, when you are under manned, well, there are things that are left undone.

Feel free to offer Your services and keep offering them. You will be recognized evently!! We can only hope!

Haha. I can't recall how many times over the years my chapter elected a new Rho who got all fired up and promised to send out a newsletter every other week. Needless to say, that never happened. Apparently IHQ can't do it either.

The last "Lambda Chi Alpha News" promised it would go out weekly. That was February 22 and I've yet to see another one. It would help if brothers/chapters sent in submissions, which I did, but didn't even receive an acknowledgement.

It really doesn't cost anything to send out these e-newsletters, just the will and committment to do so.

It's disappointing this "weekly newsletter" didn't last even one week.

Question

Hm, got one last month but are sparse in coming out as pre-stated.

Kind of like the C & C coming out every other Month.

Oh well!

Cross & Crescent Magazine

Brothers,

I visited IHQ in Indianapolis March 5th for a Founder's Day Program for my Zeta. I talked to a staffer about the C&C. As to schedule, the "six pack" concept went out the door when the decision was made to go back to the standard size magazine we now get. The experimential "newspaper" format would have allowed for a six a year publication schedule. The next C&C is in production, no timeline was given. I suspect the fact that Betsy only works part time for us is one big reason why the C&C does not come out on a more regular basis. It is pretty much a "one man" operation!

Yours in ZAX,

Mike Raymond,

Lightbulb

Mike, thanks for the insight. I did not know Betsy was only part time, but have to give Her Credit.

Cost is a big thing especially when sending out one of the Best Greek Organizations Magazines out and getting many returned because of bad address'. Her idea of a bi-monthly magazine was great, but the format just didnt work for many.

Also, trying to put together a magazine of this magnatude is bogling. It only works when information is given to IHQ to work with.

According ti IHQ, they are going to try the email function, while it isnt a Cross and Cresent, it is still a way of updating Members.

They have listened and are giving more information about expansion, suspension and problems that arrive. While a new semi format, it seems to be getting much better for keep us envolved as Brothers.

Make sure that Your Zeta Alums and You update information to IHQ, that is the only way they know where We are.

COO Kip Zurcher asked me to give any idea that GC LXA Members feel is needed, recommendations, etc.

Please feel free to contact Kip, or any other Members of the Staff, He is great to work with and will pass it along.
