Scavenger Hunt: Florida Gulf Coast U. De-recognizes Fraternity

ABC and NBC stations serving the Ft. Myers FL area are reporting that Florida Gulf Coast U. has withdrawn recognition of Sigma Phi Epsilon for at least 2 semesters. A list of items for a scavenger hunt apparently was the latest in a series of alleged problems. The list, according to the reports, contained items degrading to women, the poor, and the homeless, and was inappropriate behavior.

The ABC station's story is at

I sure hate to see a group kicked off campus for being insensative. The issue shouldn't have been what degraded who. The simple fact that they were having a scavenger hunt should have been enough.

I don't believe you.

"The letter also noted that no one was forced to participate in any of the activities."

I don't believe you.
