Exclamation want an iPod? Wal-Mart has them

to all you iPod owners: WAL-MART IS NOW SELLING IPODS. how cool are you now?? bwahahahahahaha!
http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/porta...le-mini-031744
"CNet is reporting that Wal-Mart has begun shipping small quantities of the iPod mini to select outlets, possibly heralding a full-fledged adoption of the iPod line as a complement to its own flash player and music store. If nothing else, it is a sign of the iPod's complete transition to a commodity, branded product first, and a technological nerd gadget second. Whatever you think of Wal-Mart—whether devilish idol of all that is unholy about capitalism or just the multi-headed sentient cancer spurting forth from a humming black obelisk in the heart of Arkansas—there's no denying they move a lot of product."

can't really argue with the bolded part. it's true - they are evil incarnate. now that they've just sucked the soul from the most influential "brand" in the world (according to some latest poll in europe), where will they turn their Doom-ray now? only tomorrow can tell. bum bum bum!

As someone who has managed electronic sales for quite some time, there is $5 to $10 profit for the stores that sell IPods, as opposed to a 15 to 40% markup on other brands (most of the time better but cheaper brands). They make all their money on accessories....so watch out and don't get ripped off on them! Do a search first on something like Froogle or PriceGrabber and don't pay $30 for a cable.....lol!

Target's had them for a long time, too, with cheaper accessories. I'm not surprised that WalMart got them. I think Apple regulates the pricing, though, so don't expect a better deal.

Eh...Best Buy sells them, too.

A lot of "big box" retailers sell iPods, but they're still going to be the same price. Don't worry...Meggi Rae and Brandi Sue STILL won't be able to afford them.

I agree. I love my iPod and could care less if Wal-Mart sells them.

Everyone, Wal-Mart will have the cheapest price around.

They'll be $248.87......beating everyone else out by 13 cents!

I still love my iPod. I see no reason Wal-Mart shouldn't sell them - Wal-Mart is the only retailer in some rural areas and those people deserve iPods too.
